SEAWatcher APP presentation

The 21 and the 22 June 2022, within the scientific framework of the Life Strong Sea project, ISPRA, Agris, the Asinara Park and the North Sardinia Flag will present the SEAWatcher App in two municipalities in Northern Sardinia: Castelsardo and Porto Torres.

SEAWatcher, developed by MITE, is the app connected to #StrongSeaLife. It is the tool to facilitate the recovery of ghost nets and gear lost at sea.

Let's start the first concrete activities in the field!

The first direct stakeholders are the fishermen, the main protagonists who will benefit from the timeliness of intervention of the removals and whose collaboration is of fundamental importance for the success of the project's actions.

The presentation of the App will be addressed in parallel to: divers, boaters, Diving center, tourists and citizens who will have a leading role in the dissemination of actions and results, contributing to the restoration of Habitat.

Scientific Communities, National Parks, Regional Parks and Marine Protected Areas will be welcome to follow us and help us spread and promote the SEAWatcher App.
